Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

– The Role

We are looking for someone who takes initiative and responsibility to ensure they represent the company well, and provide service both to our clients and staff.
The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist is responsible for:

  • Operate multi-line telephone system and answer queries from the public/clients/staff, transfer incoming calls, take messages, and refer callers to appropriate teams
  • Compose letters, memos and emails
  • Book meeting room and set up conference calls
  • Perform administrative tasks, including filing, photocopying and scanning
  • Develop and implement office procedures
  • Maintain general company record systems to uphold accurate files
  • Manage inventory and procurement of office supplies
  • Manage cash box

– Requirements

  • High school diploma or bachelor degree
  • 2+ year’s clerical experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs
  • Experience maintaining and prioritizing a manager’s calendar
  • Able to work independently
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • English proficiency is a plus

Full Time English <-> Farsi Translator

– The Role

Translating texts - including but not limited to news items, articles, interviews, website and brochure texts, proposals, contracts, reports - from Farsi to English and English to Farsi. As Mana Payam provides service to clients in a wide range of industries the role requires versatility in translations of many forms and subjects.
The Full Time English <-> Farsi Translator is responsible for:

  • Translation of texts on technology, business, finance, electronics, a wide array of consumer products, the arts, food and beverage, automotive and more.
  • Reading through original material and rewriting and/or summarizing it in the target language
  • Researching and finding the closest equivalents for specialty/technical terminology used in the texts
  • Proofreading and editing

– Requirements

  • Interested in working with a wide range of texts and learning the lingo in various industries
  • Fluent in written English and Farsi
  • Good knowledge of journalism and content writing
  • Sensitive to timelines and project limitations
  • More than 2 years of experience in translation and content writing
